Located in St. Johns County, the Forever Family Pool was designed with one purpose in mind: bringing the family together.

The homeowners wanted more than just a pool. They wanted a space that would encourage time outside, year-round enjoyment, and meaningful moments, from casual weeknight swims to weekend BBQs with friends.

Geometric and intentional in design, this rectangular 16’ x 22’ pool blends functionality with clean lines. The result is a backyard that feels structured, welcoming, and built for everyday life.

CHALLENGE & ACTION

The homeowners wanted the pool and decking to remain fully behind the footprint of their existing lanai. While this created a clean visual alignment, it limited the overall pool length.

Rather than sacrificing usable swim space, our team stepped back and took a holistic look at the entire backyard. By widening the pool, we were able to increase square footage within the available footprint while maintaining balanced proportions and visual flow.

This adjustment also required thoughtful coordination of the surrounding hardscape and landscaping. Paver decking was utilized to frame the expanded pool width seamlessly, and landscaping elements were carefully placed to soften the lines and enhance the overall aesthetic.

The result is a layout that feels open, intentional, and beautifully integrated, maximizing functionality without extending beyond the lanai’s structure. Thoughtful problem-solving ensured the family gained the space they needed while staying true to their original vision.

THE TRANSFORMATION

Today, the backyard has become a true extension of the home. The sun shelf with LED bubblers creates a playful yet relaxing focal point. Evenings glow beneath color lighting, and the raised waterfall adds both movement and soothing sound.

With the addition of a heat pump, the swim season is extended, making the pool warm and comfortable a month before and a month after the normal swimming season.. The family now gathers outside regularly for grilling, entertaining, and spending quality time together.
